Mount St. Mary’s Finishes Up Strong Showing at IC4A/ECAC Championships

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 19, 2026) – Earning a respectable finish in a group of dozens of teams, Mount St. Mary's track & field placed ninth on the men's side and 10th on the women's side at the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Piscataway, New Jersey.

A quartet of third place finishes between the teams led the way. Alena Murray and Joshua Dean cracked the Mount's top 10 list for the 100m dashes. Murray finished third in the finals at 11.95 seconds, ranking fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and seventh on the Mount's all-time list. Abdulazeez Iyiola took third in the 110 meter hurdles at 14.72 seconds, and Madelyn Valpy placed third in the triple jump with 11.96 meters.
