Brandon Falconer and freshman
Thomas Lloyd represents Mount St. Mary's this week at the NCAA East First Round, hosted by the University of Kentucky. The pair compete in the men's javelin, taking place Wednesday afternoon.
Lloyd kicks off the event as the first athlete in the first flight. Falconer competes in the third flight, slating to compete sixth. Of the 48 athletes set to compete, the top 12 earn a spot at the NCAA National Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon this coming June.
Entering the event, Falconer is 20
th in the East regional while Lloyd is 47
th. Falconer's top mark of the season was 68.56 meters at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by the University of Louisville. Lloyd's best mark of 64.70 meters came at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship.
At the MAAC Championship, Falconer and Lloyd finished first and second, headlining a 1-4 sweep of the javelin that included
Aidan Crawford and
Brad Lee Jones. The scores helped the Mount men claim the 2026 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
