EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 30, 2025) – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play returns to Waldron Family Stadium Wednesday as Mount St. Mary's women's soccer hosts Rider in search of a second conference win.
MOUNT UPDATE
Trying to reverse a two-game slide, the Mount looks to generate more offense.
Cassidy Nichols scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the defeat to Niagara, but the Mountaineers took a shutout in a 2-0 loss to Manhattan.
Abigail Makela finished the week with 13 saves against four goals allowed. In terms of MAAC standings, Mount St. Mary's looks to rise from its current 11
th place position.
SCOUTING THE BRONCS
Looking to rebound from a 4-0 loss to Sacred Heart, Rider heads to the Mount looking for their first victory in MAAC play. The Broncs have a draw, going 0-0 with Saint Peter's. Five players combine for eight goals, with Tess Ferrie, Ava Ferrie, and Courtney Carter each scoring twice. Ashley Moore is the primary keeper with 42 saves.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Rider leads the all-time series, four games to two, with a pair of draws. Last season, the teams played to a 1-1 draw at the conclusion of the season. An olimpico in the closing minutes by
Nathalie Mejia denied the Broncs a postseason opportunity in the ultimate game for both teams.
