EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 27, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's women's soccer held on the defensive end until the final third of Saturday's match with Manhattan. The Jaspers were able to find the back of the net twice to take the contest, 2-0.
Abigail Makela made the most of a busy day, coming within one of her career high for saves with seven rejections.
Nicole Wilson also made a pivotal defensive stop when a Jaspers players got by Makela in the first half.
Manhattan registered 22 shots to the Mount's seven. The home side cracked through in the 69
th minute with a goal from Lauren Ahearn. The 87
th minute saw Olivia McMaster put the game away. Amaya Hill provided assists with further help Josslyn Weissman and Mayah Wheeler.
Mount St. Mary's falls to 3-7 overall and 1-4 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).
Coming back to Waldron Family Stadium Wednesday (Oct. 1), the Mountaineers host Rider in a 7 p.m. showdown.
