EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 1, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's cross country teams participated at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships Saturday, with the women's squad finishing eighth and the men placing 13
th.
Women's 6K Recap
Laura McConville led the Mount women with a standout 18
th-place finish, completing the race in 21:46.5.
Nuria Escudero followed in 41
st at 22:44.2, while
Elizabeth Freymann finished 54
th with a 23:00.7 showing.
Chloe McCarthy placed 58
th in 23:06.3, and
Alyssa Pongracz rounded out the Mount's top five in 73
rd with a time of 23:30.3.
Additional finishers for the Mount included
Riley Bell (91st, 23:53.5),
Shehan Baird (129th, 25:35.1),
Amanda Umbricht (137th, 26:32.6),

Men's 8K Recap
On the men's side,
EJ Villaver and
Alessandro Campagna led the effort with near-identical times, earning respective finishes of 110
th (27:02.2) and 111
th (27:02.7).
Joey Jacobs placed 128
th with a 27:24.8, followed by the freshmen duo of
Evan DeVoe (137th, 27:39.3) and
Nicholas Willis (143rd, 27:46.3) to complete the Mount's top five.
Chase Rosenfeld completed the race in 27:58.2 for 146
th, and
Michael Cunningham recorded 28:05.8 for 149
th. Rounding out the Mountaineer lineup were
