STEVENSON, MD (September 19, 2026) – Chloe McCarthy and
Jack Nebbia headlined the efforts for Mount St. Mary's cross country with top three individual finishes at the Stevenson Invitational. The Mount women were runners-up with 62 points, while the men finished fourth overall with 119 total points.
McCarthy paced the 6K women's race for the Mountaineers with a second place finish, earning a time of 23:27.86. Nuria Escurado acquired 13 points with a 15
th place finish of 25:19.94,
Riley Bell received 14 points at 25:31.27, and
Audrey Musmeci added 16 points with her time of 26:10.62.
Ella Swart's time of 26:47.53 rounded out the point scorers for the women's race.
In the men's 8k race, Nebbia led the pack for the Mount, finishing third overall and continuing to show out in his freshman season, following a tenth place finish at the Mount 5k Duals to start the year. The freshman led the Mount once again at this meet with a time of 27:20.03.
EJ Villaver was the second Mountaineer to cross the finish line, coming in 34th with a time of 29:21.19. Not too far behind was
Nic Willis (41st),
Chase Rosenfeld (47th), and
Gio Medrano (51st).
Messiah University captured the victories for both the men's and women's races, posting six of the top seven finishers for the men and four top 10's for the women.
Mount St. Mary's heads to the JMU Invitational next weekend.
