JMU XC INVITATIONAL

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 22, 2026) – This Friday (Sept. 25) Mount St. Mary's will be competing in their third of five meets this year, taking their talent to New Market, VA to compete in the JMU XC Invitational. The meet will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the women's 5K, followed by the men's 8K starting around 6:30 p.m. The meet is held at the New Market Battlefield on 57 George Collins Pkwy. The Mount hopes to take command in their first meet outside of Maryland.

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers this last Friday, went on the road to Stevenson University where they competed in the Stevenson Invitational. The men's team finished 4th place with 119 points and the women took second place with 62 points. Chloe McCarthy and Jack Nebbia were the stand out mountaineers during their races as they both landed top three finishes overall. Nebbia placed third overall in the 8K race with a time of 27:20.03 after his top ten performance earlier in the season at the Mount 5K Duals. McCarthy landed second place overall with a time of 23:27.86 in the 6K race after an eighth place finish in her first race at the Mount 5K Duals. Nuria Escurado, Riley Bell, Audrey Musmeci, and Ella Swart scored points for the women's team while EJ Villaver, Nic Willis, Chase Rosenfeld, and Gio Medrano were among the point scorers for the men.

UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's will take their talent to Gettysburg PA to participate in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational on Saturday, October 17th.
