EMMITSBURG, MD (September 17, 2026) – This Friday (Sept. 18), Mount St. Mary's will be competing in their second meet of the year, taking their talent to compete in the Stevenson Invitational. The meet will begin at 4:15 p.m. with the women's 6K, followed by the men's 8k starting around 5:00 p.m. The meet is held at Stevenson's Greenspring campus on Greenspring Valley Road. The Mount hopes to dominate the races in their second meet in Maryland. 

MOUNT UPDATE: The Mountaineers opened the season on home turf where they competed in the Mount 5K Duals. The men's team finished third with 79 points while the women took fourth with 86 points. Competing in their first collegiate meets, true freshman Mary Kate Zollers and Jack Nebbia both showed out in their first ever collegiate races by finishing within the top 10. Chloe McCarthy also landed a top 10 finish in her race to add on to the Mount's three top 10 finishers. In addition, Riley Bill, Kaelynn Odums, and Audrey Musmeci scored points for the women's team while Nic Willis, Kyle Bretting, and EJ Villaver are among the point scorers for the men. The Mount was scheduled to participate in the 2026 Dickinson Long-Short Invitational this last Saturday, September 12 before it got canceled. 

UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's will be heading to New Market, VA to compete in the JMU XC Invitational on Friday, September 25.
