EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 8, 2024) – After earning a hard-fought point against Manhattan last Wednesday, women's soccer goes on the road to Saint Peter's looking to extend their three-game point streak.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
Making nine saves and earning her fifth clean sheet of the season, Adelaide Paredes was solid in between the posts for the Mount. The rest of the Mountaineers back line was tested during the game, as they faced 22 shots from the Jaspers.
 
Sydoney Clarke ranks eighth in shots on goal for the MAAC with 16 over the course of the season. With a game average of 1.45 shots on goal, Clarke has been vital to the Mount and their success in conference play so far this year. Among her six goals scored this season, Clarke has also recorded two game-winning goals for the Mount, good enough for third in the MAAC rankings.
 
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
 
The Peacocks are still searching for their first conference win of the year as they hold a 0-6 record in the MAAC. Wins against the University of South Carolina – Upstate, Hampton, and Delaware State round out their wins on the season for an overall record of 3-8. Joana Dias leads the team in scoring with four goals across 11 starts for Saint Peter's.
