EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 5th, 2024) –
Niels Peeters paced the field for Mount St. Mary's cross country, finishing in 20
th place at the Paul Short Run. Competing in the Brown Division, the men's team took 22
nd in the 8k while the women's time finished 33
rd in the 6k.
Peeters ran the race in 25:22.4. He maintained his position in the top 25 throughout the race, rising as high as 17
th at a checkpoint following a 4:50.3 mile.
John Ruona took 101
st in the field with a time of 26:21.2, followed by
Samuel Serrano (116
th, 26:32.2),
Kevin Zaleski (211
th, 27:50.2) and
Gavin Gallo (239
th, 28:15.2) to round out the scoring.
The Mount women were led by
Laura McConville, finishing 203
rd in the 6K with a mark of 24:21.8.
Mary Campbell finished with a time of 24:25.5 to finish in 234
th.

Mount St. Mary's heads to the Bronx for the ICAC/ECAC Championships on Friday, October 18
th then followed by heading to Gettysburg for the Aubrey Shenk Invite.
