EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 28, 2026) – The Mount St. Mary's track & field trio of
Brandon Falconer,
Jacey Hentz, and
Joshua Dean received weekly awards from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), which were announced by the league on Tuesday.
Falconer ranks in top 50 nationwide after winning the javelin at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky. The distance of 68.56 meters ranks 36
th in the country, 17
th in the NCAA East, and leads the MAAC.
Hentz also won the pole vault at Louisville, jumping to a height of 3.82 meters. That time catapulted to the conference lead as well. In terms of Mount history, the jump is in a tie for the third best for an outdoor track competitor, matching a 2018 mark by Rachel Finn.
Dean continued his strong outdoor season in the 100 and 200 meter dashes, setting new personal records. His time of 10.53 seconds in the 100 meter ranks second in the MAAC and his time of 21.44 seconds in the 200m dash ranks third in the conference.
Mount St. Mary's is set to host the 2026 MAAC Championships on May 9-10.
