EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 16, 2026) – Members of the Mount St. Mary's track & field team compete at the IC4A/ECAC Championships this weekend, as well as the Navy Spring Invitational. The IC4A/ECAC event kicks off the first postseason opportunity for the team this year.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Rutgers is the host for the IC4A/ECAC, which begin at 10:00 a.m. for field events and 12:10 p.m. for track events. At Navy, combined events begin at noon Friday with the discus in the afternoon. Saturday's events start at 9:30 a.m.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Last weekend was a banner one for the Mountaineers, excelling at both at JMU Invite and the Messiah Multi Invitational. The women's team that went to Messiah won the event.
- Camryn Jones-Howard broke the school record for the outdoor triple jump, attaining a mark of 12.45 meters. She and teammate Madelyn Valpy, who possesses the indoor record, are 2-3 among Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) competitors.
- Brandon Falconer was named MAAC Men's Field Player of the Week with a 66.67 meter javelin throw. His mark stands 21st in the NCAA East and leads the MAAC. Teammates Thomas Lloyd and Brad Lee Jones form a trio atop the conference leaderboard.
- Joshua Dean was named MAAC Men's Rookie of the Week after his win in the 100 meter dash. He led of group of exceptional performances in the dash events, with Kalani Pu'uloa and Alena Murray adding their names with good times.
FUTURE MEETS
- For the final weekend in April, athletes from the Mount compete at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational, hosted by Louisville, and the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by Saint Francis University.
