EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 27, 2026) – Following a strong start at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational, Mount St. Mary's outdoor track & field looks to keep momentum going as the team heads to meets hosted by Navy and Lafayette.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Both meets are one-day events. Navy begins with field events at 9 a.m., and Lafayette starts their field events at 10. Running events kick off at 12:30 p.m. at Lafayette with 1 p.m. start set for Navy. Relays conclude proceedings with Lafayette scheduled for 4:30 and Navy for 5:20 in the evening.
MOUNT UPDATE
- At the Shamrock Invitational, the Mount men took eighth in a crowded 31-team field while the women placed 11th of 31.
- Numerous Mountaineers collected top 10 program finishes – Ethan Demeter (pole vault), Tyler Cash (pole vault), Rebecca Weir, Lorelai Paxton, and Thomas Lloyd (javelin), Marta Gonzalez Alvarez (discus), Garrett Wilkerson (400m), Alena Murray (100m), and the 4x200 relay team of Murray, Alexe Gauthier, Sara Taylor, and Raeanne Jones.
- As a result of these successes, the Mount swept the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) weekly awards. Murray earned Women's Track and Rookie honors, Weir won for Women's Field, Demeter for Men's Field, Wilkerson for Men's Track, and Lloyd from Men's Rookie.
FUTURE MEETS
- After going idle for Easter Weekend, athletes return to competition April 10 and 11 with meets at Messiah and James Madison.
