Women’s Lacrosse Begins MAAC Postseason, Face Siena in First Round

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 25, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's women's lacrosse begins the 2026 postseason at home, hosting Siena in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) First Round matchup.
 
Gates open at 11 a.m., and per MAAC postseason policy, this will be a ticketed event. Mount students are admitted for free with proof of their Mount ID card. All sales are cashless.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
  • Mount St. Mary's earned the right to host with a dominating 13-4 win over Niagara. Ava Kraszewski and Brooke Molchanoff finished the game with hat tricks.
  • This past Friday, six members of the team – Molchanoff, Shannon McTavish, Hailey Chester, MK Allingham, Kraszewski, and Haylee Bittinger – received All-MAAC selections. Molchanoff was named Offensive Player of the Year – the first honor for a Mountaineer since 2022 – and  McTavish and Chester were First Team honorees.
  • Camille Thomas was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week following her efforts in the Niagara game. The junior recorded 16 saves against four goals allowed.
SCOUTING SIENA
  • Siena finished the season with a 5-3 record in the MAAC to take fifth place.
  • The trio of Olivia Nicholson, Elizabeth Wamo, and Hailey Deptula all scored 20 goals for the Saints this year. Nicholson is the team's leader with 38 points.
  • Eight different players have double digit caused turnovers, led by 17 from Cassidy Bonura.
  • Goalie McAllister Salter has all 10 wins credited to her along with 92 saves.
ALL-TIME SERIES
  • The two sides met on April 1 in Loudonville. Molchanoff scored the overtime winner as the Mount won a thriller, 11-10.
  • Mount leads the all-time series, six games to two.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE

The advancing team plays Fairfield in the semifinals of the MAAC Championship on Friday, May 1.
