EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 20, 2026) – For the second time this year, Mount St. Mary's junior goalie
Camille Thomas received Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Thomas had her best statistical showing in one of the more impactful games possible last Saturday at Niagara. She set a career high for saves in a game, stopping 16 Purple Eagles shots. Only four goals found the back of the net, good for an .800 save percentage. The resulting 13-4 win clinched a home playoff game for the Mountaineers.
In terms of the season, Thomas now leads the MAAC in saves percentage at .476 for the year and is fourth in goals against average at a little under 10 goals per game.
Mount St. Mary's earned the
#4 seed in the upcoming MAAC Championship and will host
#5 Siena in the First Round this Sunday, April 26.
