April 23, 2026—Three Mountaineers were named to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Conference teams, announced today by the league office.
In singles, Stafanos Pournaropoulos was named Second Team All-MAAC while
Alexi Roy garnered Third Team All-MAAC honors. In doubles, Pournaropoulos and
Nikos Makris were named Third Team All-MAAC as well.
Pournaropoulos posted a 14-9 overall record and a 12-5 mark in dual matches while playing the majority of the season at No. 1 singles. The freshman went 6-1 this season against MAAC competition. Roy, playing mostly at No. 3 singles, went 9-11 overall in singles play, including a 4-1 mark against MAAC foes. In doubles action, Pournaropoulos and Makris paired at the No. 1 doubles position, recording an 11-7 record on the year.
The league also announced the All-Academic Team with seven Mountaineers earning the honor.

Alessio Guarino,
Daniel Haddadin,
Luke Papayoanou, Roy and
Ryan Wagner all were named to the All-Academic squad.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
The Mountaineers finished the regular season with an 8-12 overall record and a 5-3 mark in the MAAC. The Mount earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming MAAC Championships and will face top-seeded Marist at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the Princeton Racquet and Recreation Fieldhouse.
