EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary's men's tennis earned an important MAAC victory with a 5–2 win over Fairfield at the Rooney Tennis Courts. The Mount improves to 7–11 overall and 4–2 in conference play, while Fairfield falls to 5–13 (4–2 MAAC).

Mount claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Stefanos Pournaropoulous and Nikos Makris posted a 6–3 victory at the top spot, while Akarsh Gaonkar and Alessio Guarino secured a 6–3 win at No. 3. Fairfield's lone doubles win came at No. 2.

In singles, the Mount won four of six matches to seal the victory. Pournaropoulous led the way with a 6–3, 6–1 win at No. 1, while Gaonkar battled to a 6–4, 4–6, 7–6 (12–10) victory at No. 2 in one of the day's most competitive matches. Ryan Wagner added a 6–2, 6–3 win at No. 4, and Nikos Makris clinched the match with a 6–2, 3–6, 6–4 victory at No. 5.
