LOUDONVILLE, N.Y.. — Mount St. Mary's men's tennis earned a hard-fought 4–3 victory over Siena in MAAC action to clinch a berth in the conference championships. The Mount improves to 8–11 overall and 5–2 in league play, while Siena falls to 8–10 (3–5 MAAC).

Mount took control early by winning the doubles point. Stefanos Pournaropoulos and Nikos Makris secured a 7–5 (7–5) victory at No. 1, while Alexi Roy and Ryan Wagner added a 6–3 win at No. 2. The No. 3 match was left unfinished with Akarsh Gaonkar and Luke Papayoanou leading 6–5.

In singles, the Mount captured three matches to clinch the team win. Pournaropoulos delivered a strong performance at No. 1 with a 6–0, 7–5 victory, and Roy followed with a 6–2, 7–6 (7–4) win at No. 3. Nikos Makris proved decisive at No. 5, rallying for a 6–3, 1–6, 6–4 win to secure the fourth point.

Siena picked up wins at Nos. 2, 4, and 6, but the Mount's early doubles advantage and key singles victories held up in the tight contest.

With one regular season match remaining, the Mount controls its postseason positioning. A win at home against Rider on Monday at noon would clinch second place in the MAAC standings, while a loss would drop the Mount to fourth.
