EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 13, 2026) – For the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) home opener, Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse host the Sacred Heart Pioneers.
MOUNT UPDATE
- Starting conference play on the road, the Mount fell to Marist 16-9. Bennett Wright finished with a season-high 18 saves, and Brody Atkinson earned a season high for goals with five.
- Carter Quested registered his first hat trick in 2026, and the seventh for his college career.
- Atkinson is second in the MAAC for goals per game at 2.57 and Quested stands fifth in the league with 2.14 goals per game. Kevin Whitty ranks fifth in the league for assists per game with 1.43 a contest.
SCOUTING SACRED HEART
- The defending MAAC regular season champions are off to another fast start at 6-0, including a 12-10 win over Merrimack in the conference opener.
- Matt Pepe serves as the Pioneers' leader in points with 20, and is in a three-way tie for the goal lead with Jake Carney and John Murray, all of whom have 14.
- Craig Daria has 78 saves in goal and a .542 save percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES
- Mount St. Mary's leads the series 12-6. Sacred Heart is on a two-game win streak with victories in 2024 and 2025.
