EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 7, 2026) – Facing their first Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) opponent, Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse fell to the Marist Red Foxes, 16-9.
Bennett Wright finished with a season-high 18 saves.
Brody Atkinson led a trio of goal scorers with five, followed by
Carter Quested with three and
Aidan Kilduff with one.
With the defeat, the Mount falls to 1-5 (0-1 MAAC) this year.
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
- Mount St. Mary's fell behind 9-0 at halftime. Wright had 12 saves to help stem the tide of the Red Foxes.
- Quested got the Mount on the board in the third quarter – the first of three in a row for the team. Atkinson and Quested pulled the game to 9-3.
- The final six goals came in the fourth quarter as the Mountaineers compiled a pair of 3-0 runs.
