Mount Men’s Lacrosse Drops Contest to Monmouth

EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 25, 2026) – Mount St. Mary's men's lacrosse fell to the Monmouth Hawks by a 14-5 final on Saturday. The Mount is now 1-4 this season.
 
Brody Atkinson secured a hat trick, and Collin Thomson and Aidan Kilduff each recorded goals. Bennett Wright finished with 14 saves.
 
HOW THE GAME UNFOLDED
  • Monmouth took charge early, shutting out the Mount in the first half. They led 6-0 after the first and tacked on two more in the second.
  • Atkinson got the Mount on the board with his first goal at the 9:41 mark of the third quarter. Owen Fasulka provided the assist.
  • Each of the Mountaineers' goals were assisted. Carter Quested, Marcelo Carreiro, Chris Grimaldi, and Kevin Whitty all earned one.
  • Thomson posted his goal in the third period, and Kilduff's came in the fourth. Atkinson secured the hat trick in the closing seconds to complete the scoring.
