EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 26, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's cross country took home a third-place finish for the men's team and a second-place finish for the women at the James Madison Invitational respectively.
Laura McConville was the top finisher on either side, running the women's 5K in 19:20.4 to come in second place. On the men's side
Duke Ebert led the way in the 8K with a time of 28:33.7 to finish in 11
th place.
Point scorers for the women included
Elizabeth Freymann who finished eighth with a time of 20:00.7, followed by
Chloe McCarthy (20:11.3),
Nuria Escudero Jimenez (20:26.9), and
Alyssa Pongracz (21:05.0). Scorers for the men's scorecard are as follows, Evan Devoe followed Ebert by 0:06.0 to finish 12
th with a time of 28:39.7,
Nicholas Willis (29:22.3),
Dylan Navarro (29:22.4), and
Michael Cunningham (29:25.3).
