MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's cross-country teams opened the 2025 season by hosting the Mount St. Mary's 5K Duals on August 30th. The men's team took fifth place while the women's team took seventh as a team. On the men's side,
EJ Villaver and
Nicholas Willis led with finishing within a second of eachother. Villaver crossed at 17:05.68 and Willis finished at 17:06.75. After them,
Duke Ebert finished in 17:21.46,
Evan DeVoe in 17:23.55, and
Diego Herrera finished in 17:31.82 to complete team scoring. On the women's side,
Chloe McCarthy was the Mount's top performer, after running for the first time in two years, with a time of 19:51.31. Fellow teammates factoring into the scoring were Alyessa Pongracz at 20:23.78,
Riley Bell at 21:07.10,
Isabella Pla at 21:35.78, and
Audrey Musmeci at 22:34.43.
UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's takes almost two weeks away from competition before making the hike to Virginia for the James Madison Invitational on September 26
th.
