EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 13th, 2025) –
Laura McConville paced the field for Mount St. Mary's cross country, finishing in seventh place at the Cantello Invite. The Mount had scores counted in three of four of the events. In the women's varsity 6k, the team took third, this was the only event where scores were counted for women. Then the men took second in the men's open 5k and sixth in the men's varsity 4.9 mile.
McConville ran the race in 23:22.9. This helped to give the team an average of 24:20.4 and spread of 1:59.1 for their score in the varsity 6k. To round out their score card
Chloe McCarthy finished in 20
th place with a time of 23:57.0, followed by
Alyssa Pongracz (29
th, 24:25.8),
Nuria Escudero Jimenez (33
rd, 24:34.2), and
Riley Bell (38
th, 25:22.0).
For the men's open 5k,
Nicholas Willis led the way with finishing in 13
th with a time of 17:36.1. Rounding out their scorecard for a second-place finish is
Chase Rosenfeld in 19
th with a time of 18:20.2, followed by
Rylan Bowers (22
nd, 18:30.9),
Santiago Canadas (24
th, 18:33.8) and
Michael Cunningham (26
th, 19:03.6).
Then in the men's 4.9 mile,
Duke Ebert led the way finishing 38
th with a time of 27:50.6. Ethan Villaver finished with a time of 28:48.5 to finish in 47
th, followed by
Dylan Hoernlein (48
th, 29:09.4),
Dylan Navarro (50
th, 29:23.3), and
Gavin Gallo (52
nd, 29:34.0) to round out the team scorecard for this event.
