EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 17, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's men's water polo goalkeeper Sherif Hosni was named the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Defensive Player of the Week by the conference office on Wednesday. His 61 saves at the Navy Open this past weekend earned Hosni his second award of the season, topping his 54 save weekend at the Air Force Rare Air Challenge.

Against Navy on September 12, Hosni recorded 13 saves against the Midshipmen. Hosni recorded 59 saves in their September 13 triple header, recording 12 saves against Salem, 14 saves against LIU, and a career single-game high 22 saves against MIT.
