EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 12, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's women's soccer looks to right the ship in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) play, taking on the Saint Peter's Peacocks at home.
MOUNT UPDATE
Saturday's match hopes to serve as a rebound for the Mountaineers, who got off to a tough start in conference action, falling 5-1 to Merrimack last weekend. The bright spot of the match was the first collegiate goal from
Payton Meara in the 88
th minute.

Cassidy Nichols remains the clubhouse leader in goals, with three for the season. In goal, Abigial Makela brought her season saves total to 24 after six saves against the Warriors.
SCOUTING THE PEACOCKS
Saint Peter's is enjoying a turnaround campaign in 2025, going 4-1-2 through their first seven contests. Last weekend, the Peacocks registered five goals in a high scoring victory over Niagara to start 1-0 in league play. Eight different players have registered a goal, led by Julia Pinho Magno and Joana Dias with a respective four goals and three, both of which are top 10 in the MAAC.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Over 12 previous meetings, Mount St. Mary's holds a 7-5 advantage over the Peacocks. Since joining the MAAC, the Mountaineers won the first two matches before Saint Peter's was able to pick up a 2-1 win last season in Jersey City.
