EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 1, 2025) – Mount St. Mary's junior Cassidy Nichols received Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Offensive Player of the Week honors, announced by the league on Monday.
 
Nichols registered six points for the Mount in wins over Shepherd and Delaware State this past week. Against the Rams, she posted the game winner with a second half goal, lifting the team to a 2-1 victory. On Sunday versus the Hornets, Nichols supplied two assists on an equalizer and the final goal - both helping Josie Stockett to score - before once again delivering the game winning strike on the way to a 4-2 Mountaineers triumph.
 
The Crofton, Md. native is the team's leader with three goals and one assist for seven points.
 
Mount St. Mary's enters MAAC play with a 2-3 mark, and travel to Merrimack this Saturday (Sept. 6).
