Box Score Baltimore, Md. (December 13, 2025)—Mount St. Mary's used a balanced effort to post an 81-73 win at Loyola in the 180
th all-time meeting between the two schools.
Arlandus Keyes and
Xavier Lipscomb each scored 16 while
Trey Deveaux added 15 for the Mountaineers in the victory.
The Mount (3-8) scored nine consecutive points early in the second half to snap a 45-45 tie and take control of the game. Back-to-back three-pointers from
Arlandus Keyes and
Xavier Lipscomb keyed the run that was capped by an
Anthony Arrington pull-up jumper.
The Greyhounds hung tough, cutting the Mount's advantage to 64-60, but a Lipscomb three-pointer and another Arrington pull-up push the lead back to nine. An Arrington lay-in off a steal gave the Mount it's biggest lead, 73-62, with 4:33 left in the contest. From there, the Mount was able to maintain the advantage for the eight-point victory.
Lipscomb finished 3-for-3 from the field, 2-for-2 from beyond the arc, and 8-of-9 at the foul line for his 16 points while adding three assists, three rebounds and three steals. Keyes added 16 points, hitting 4-of-11 from three-point range, while dishing out five assists and grabbing five boards in the victory. Deveaux chipped in 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting while
Justin Amadi just missed a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Arrington, making his season debut with the Mount after missing the first 10 games due to injury, tallied eight points, three boards and a pair of assists in 17 minutes. Jordan Stiemke led Loyola with a game-high 22 points with Jacob Theodosiou recording 15 points and seven assists in the loss.
The Mount finished the game shooting 51.9 percent (28-of-54) from the field while hitting 8-of-22 (.364) from three-point range. Mount St. Mary's held a commanding 43-to-28 edge on the boards.
The first half was a tight-knit affair with six lead changes and six ties. The Mount used a 10-2 run midway through the first half to build a 22-14 advantage. The Greyhounds (4-8) answered with a 14-to-4 spurt to grab a 28-26 lead with 6:47 on the clock.
Deveaux scored four points in a 6-0 run that put the Mount back on top, 32-28, and a fast-break alley-oop dunk by Amadi on a feed from Keyes put the Mount ahead, 38-34. Loyola's Theodosiou hit a three-pointer to cut the Mount's lead to 38-37 at the break.
Deveaux paced the Mount with 11 points in the first half while Amadi added 10. Stiemke led all scorers with 17 points in the opening half for the Greyhounds.
The Mount shot 53.8 percent (15-of-28) from the field in the first half while holding Loyola to 38.7 percent shooting (12-of-31). The Greyhounds hit 8-of-19 (.421) from three-point range and scored 17 points off 11 Mount first-half turnovers. The Mount held a commanding 26-to-8 edge in points in the paint in the opening half.

- This was the 180th all-time meeting between the Mount and Loyola in the most played rivalry in the state of Maryland.
- Mount St. Mary's now holds a 103-77 lead in the series that began in 1909.The Mount is now 36-46 all-time against the Greyhounds in Baltimore.
