October 13, 2025--Mount St. Mary's men's tennis wrapped up its fall schedule with a pair of strong performances at the ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by Virginia Tech, and the Navy Gold Invite in Annapolis, Md., this past weekend.

At the ITA Atlantic Regional, Alexi Roy led the Mount in qualifying singles play with a three-set victory over James Madison's Damian Sancilio, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. Stefanos Pournaropoulous represented the Mount in the main draw, battling against top regional competition from Virginia and Old Dominion.

In doubles, Roy and Akarsh Gaonkar competed against Old Dominion, while Lucas Evans and Pournaropoulous faced Virginia's Jangjun Kim and Keegan Rice in the Round of 32.

The Mount followed with several impressive efforts at the Navy Gold Invite. Ryan Wagner picked up two singles victories, defeating Loyola's Cristian Pemueller 7-5, 6-4 and Howard's Marcus Weekes 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. Nate Helms added a straight-set win over Loyola's Cyrus Shivkumar, while Joshua Johnson, Alessio Guarino, and Daniel Haddadin each contributed victories, including Haddadin's strong finish with back-to-back wins over Loyola opponents.

In doubles play, Johnson and Haddadin teamed up for two victories against pairs from Navy and Loyola, while Guarino and Wagner earned a 6-2 win over Navy's Aaron Gu and Zachary Quattro.

This competition concludes the fall season for the Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team.
