EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 29, 2023) – This Sunday marks the first day of NCAA bowling competition and Mount St. Mary's is set to take full advantage with a dual match versus the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.
FORMAT: Competition consists of two Quint Baker rounds and a best-of-seven round.
ABOUT THE MOUNT: The Mountaineers crossed the 80-win threshold for the second consecutive year, winning 62.5 percent of their games. Tournament victories include the Mount Shootout for the third time as a program, and the Virginia Union Invitational in 2022.

Kenneth DeGraaf returns for his sixth year, joined by
Barbara Hawes who moves from the lineup to the staff.
Trishelle Leal Uribe is back following a successful freshman campaign, finishing second in the record books for Baker spares and top five for both overall fill percentages.
Alyssa Alexander leads a core of underclassmen,
including three newcomers, as the lone senior.
SCOUTING CHESTNUT HILL: The Griffins finished the 2022-23 season at 40-48 with a top tournament finish of second place at the Wildcat Invitational and two wins in the conference championship. Maddie Gannon received Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Bowler of the Year honors but graduated after the year. Jess Hollabaugh was a Second Team selection and is returning as a senior.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Mount St. Mary's holds the decisive upper hand with 14 wins in 15 tries. The two meetings between the teams were close a year ago as the Mount edged the Griffins at both the Mount Shootout and Northeast Roundup. Chestnut Hill's victory came in the first-ever bout between the sides on February 8, 2019.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE: The Golden Bear Invitational, hosted by Kutztown, is the Mount's first multi-team tournament of the year, taking place October 21-22 in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania.
