EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 18, 2025) – Three victories and a top six finish at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Team Championships put the punctuation mark for Mount St. Mary's bowling and their 2024-25 season.
Match play began on Thursday, when the Mount bested the Sacred Heart Pioneers 4-3 before falling to Saint Xavier. Although placed in the elimination bracket, the team received a first round bye for Friday's games.
Their first round opponent would be the Central Missouri Jennies who prevailed over Lindenwood. The Mountaineers dispatched CMU in five games to advance and play SCAD-Savannah. Down 3-2 to the Bees, Mount staved off elimination by rallying in game six and seven to move on. The team's run ended at the hands of Saint Xavier, who handed the Mount's second defeat in as many days.
The 2024-25 squad matched the performance of the 2021-22 team, who posted wins over Duquesne, Delaware State, and McKendree at the ITC's. This was the Mount's third appearance at the event in program history.
Mount St. Mary's finishes the season with a 66-43 record. The new season commences in autumn.
