Barbara Hawes joins the Mount St. Mary's bowling staff as a volunteer assistant for the 2023-24 season.
Hawes was an inaugural member of the Mount bowling team and was an impactful contributor during the five seasons she was on the roster. For her final season, Hawes earned a fill percentage of 81 percent, placing in the top 10 record wise for percentage in traditional play. The previous year, Hawes made strides in the postseason, helping the Mountaineers notch their first NCAA and USBC Tournament victories.
Hailing from Michigan, she was twice named All-State and thrice named All-Conference, while also taking a spot on the Detroit Free Press Dream Team in 2018. She led Kearsley High School to undefeated seasons and state championships in each of the last three seasons.
