March 5, 2023—Todd Charles finished in second place in the 60m dash to lead the Mount St. Mary's Indoor Track and Field teams at the IC4A/ECAC Championships this weekend. The meet was held at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center.
Charles finished with a time of 6.81 seconds to earn second place in the 60m dash. He had qualified for the finals by posting times of 6.88 seconds in the prelims and 6.85 in the semifinals. Charles also placed fifth in the 200m dahs with a time of 21.49 seconds after advancing yesterday with a mark of 21.66 in the preliminary round.
Arran Fahey earned a fourth-place mark in the pole vault by clearing 4.75m (15' 7"). In the triple jump,
Dylan LaNoue was fourth with a mark of 14.77m (48' 0.50") with
D.J. Hamilton finishing 10
th (14.18m, 46' 6.25") and
Cyre Hooper 17
th (13.65m, 44' 9.5").
Justyn Seivright finished ninth in the 500m with a time of 1:04.99 after advancing to the finals with a time of 1:05.22 in the preliminary round yesterday.Â
In the women's triple jump on Sunday,
Jovana Miloradovic (24, 10.77m, 35' 4") and
Logan Hart (26
th, 10.75, 35' 3.25") competed for the Mountaineers.Â
On Saturday,
Richard Gilchrist had the third-fastest mark in the 60m hurdles in the preliminary round with a time of 7.94 seconds. Gilchrist did not start in the semifinal round. Teammate
Will Stephenson advanced to the semifinals with a time of 8.45 seconds, and he finished 13
th in the semifinal round with a mark of 8.49.
In the high jump, La Noue finished fifth with a mark of 1.96m (6' 5") with teammate
Billy Cook placing 11
th (1.91m, 6' 3.25") on Saturday.
Daniel Reader finished 17
th in the 400m prelims (48.73) while placing 31
st in the 200m (22.14).Â
John Wang competed in the mile (37
th, 4:15.64) and
Drake Tews in the long jump (6.51m, 21' 4.25").
Zionna Perez-Tucker advanced to the semifinals in the 60m dash with a time of 7.67 seconds before finishing 13
th in the semis with a mark of 7.69 seconds. Perez-Tucker also finished 15
th in the 200m with a time of 24.50 seconds.
Jasmine Kidd was 27
th in the 60m dash prelims (7.91) and 28
th in the 200m dash preliminary round (25.56).Â
Dominique Jeffery competed in the 200m dash, finishing 36
th with a time of 25.66.
