MOUNT UPDATE:  Mount St. Mary's was edged by Siena, 4-3, in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener on March 19 at the Hershey Racquet Club.  The Mountaineers earned wins at No. 1 singles (Victoria Papadopoulou), No. 2 singles (Amber Policare) and No. 4 singles (Bella Pescatore).  Papadopoulou improved to 12-3 in singles play with her victory against Siena.  Amber Policare (11-5) and Ana Alvarez-Storni (9-3) are also having strong seasons in singles matches this year.

ABOUT NIAGARA:  Niagara is 3-10 overall and 0-1 in the MAAC this year.  The Purple Eagles dropped all four matches during the team's spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C.  Three different players are tied for the team lead with four singles wins this year.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. NIAGARA:  The Mount is 1-2 all-time against Niagara, falling 4-3 on March 18, 2017, in the last meeting between the two teams.  The last time the two teams met in Emmitsburg on March 16, 2012, the Mountaineers pulled out a 4-3 victory over the Purple Eagles.
 
ABOUT SAINT FRANCIS U: Saint Francis U has a 9-7 record this season, including a 2-1 mark in the Northeast Conference.  The Red Flash were edged by George Mason, 4-3, in their last outing.  Kelly Dowuona leads the team with 12 singles wins this year.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. SAINT FRANCIS U: The all-time series with Saint Francis U is tied at 17 wins each.  The Mount downed the Red Flash, 4-1, on March 20, 2022, in the last meeting between the two schools.
