March 22, 2026 – Mount St. Mary's women's tennis earned road wins over Saint Joseph's and Towson this weekend to stretch the team's win streak to five.  The Mount earned a 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's on Saturday before posting a 5-2 victory at Towson on Sunday.

The Mount (7-7) had wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point against Saint Joseph's.  Anna Barlini and Emma Perkins downed Elena Fleming and June Tronhus, 6-4, at the No. 2 spot.  At No. 3 doubles, Margherita Trolese and Eirini Tsakiri edged Valeria Casusol and Amaria O'Brient, 7-6 (8-6) to clinch the point.

In singles play, Tsakiri, Venus Tang and Bella Pescatore won their matches to clinch the victory for the Mountaineers.  Tsakiri won in straight sets over Fleming, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 singles position.  Tang followed with a 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) victory over Casusol at No. 3 singles while Pescatore clinched the win with a 6-1, 6-2 decision over Tronhus, 6-1, 6-2.

On Sunday, the Mount recorded a 5-2 victory at Towson to even the team's record at 7-7 this year.  The Mount swept all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point.  Tang and Pescatore won at No. 1 doubles, Barlini and Perkins at No. 2, and Trolese and Tsakiri at the No. 3 position.

In singles play, the Mount won at spots three thru six to clinch the match.  Tang earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Chandre Boshoff at No. 3 with Trolese cruising to a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 4 over Ashira Murray.  Pesctore won in straight sets at No. 5 singles with Barlini earning a 7-6, 7-2 win at the No. 6 spot in the lineup.

The Mount is back in action on Wednesday, April 1, when Saint Francis U visits the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts for a 2:00 p.m. match.
