EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary's women's tennis picked up a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory with a 4–2 win over Marist on Saturday at the Rooney Tennis Courts. The Mount improved to 5–7 overall and 2–1 in MAAC play, while Marist fell to 5–4 overall and 0–1 in conference action.

Mount secured the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. Venus Tang and Bella Pescatore earned a 6–4 win over Tessa Wachtel and Viktoria Lorentzon at No. 1 doubles, while Anna Barlini and Emma Perkins added a 6–2 victory against Caterina Assi and Vihana Shresta at No. 2. Marist picked up its lone doubles win at No. 3.

In singles play, the Mount won three matches to clinch the team victory. Eirini Tsakiri battled for a three-set win at No. 2, defeating Lorentzon 6–2, 2–6, 6–4. Venus Tang followed with a strong performance at No. 3, earning a 7–6, 6–4 win over Lola Ungerman. Barlini secured the decisive point with a 6–0, 6–3 victory against Wachtel at No. 6 singles.

Marist earned wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles, while the No. 4 match featuring Margherita Trolese was left unfinished with the Mount senior leading in the second set.
