EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 30, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's receive support for a strong season in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) polls and look to match that vote of confidence in their opening meets Saturday between Bucknell and Navy.

Field events kick off the schedule, with track and running races beginning late morning or early afternoon.

PRESEASON POLL: The Mount men's track & field team received a runner-up selection in the MAAC Coaches' Poll, while the women earned a third place selection. This puts both teams in a predicted position of replicating their 2023 Championship performances at the New Balance Armory in New York City.

2022-23 SEASON RECAP: The previous season was a strong one for the Mountaineers, and not only because of the team's strong championship finishes. Zionna Perez-Tucker and Dylan LaNoue captured major awards at the MAAC Indoor Championships, and Tood Charles led a contingent of more than a dozen student-athletes at the IC4A/ECAC Championships for the indoor campaign. On 12 occasions, Mountaineers placed times on the program's top 10, including Charles, earning a record setting time for the 60 meter dash.

UP NEXT: On January 20, members of the team head back to Bucknell while others compete at a meet hosted by Catholic University.
