EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 14, 2023) – Mount St. Mary's cross country posted high placements at Gettysburg's Aubrey Shenk Invitational. Among the colleges competing, the men were runners-up while the women took seventh place.
Michael Chipi secured a top 10 finish with a 25:02.0 in the 8k race, ending eighth place overall and foruth among collegiate runners.
Elizabeth Freymann finished in the exact same spot as Chipi on the women's side, completing the 6k in 22:31.9.
Assistant Coach
Jone Zabaleta ran unattached in the 6k and won as an individual, finishing the race in 21:15.3.
Neils Peeters came in 12
th place with a 25:26.2, seconds behind Chipi to factor into the scoring. Backing up Freeman was
Mary Campbell, running a time of 23:02.5 to come in 22
nd.

th, 24:47.4) rounded out the scoring for the women's team.
