Box Score Staten Island, N.Y. (April 11, 2022)--Mount St. Mary's closed out the regular season with a 4-1 win over Wagner on Monday afternoon.  The Mount finishes the regular season with a 6-9 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Northeast Conference.

In double play, the Mount won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to clinch the doubles point.  At No. 2, Christos Dagklis and Russell Armstrong teamed for a 6-2 win over Odeda Arazza and Rodrigo Perez.  At No. 3 doubles, the Mount's Marcel Cronin and Jarrett Karnibad were 6-4 winners over Lucas Darling and Karan Venkatramana.

In singles action, Filippos Zachiotis downed Perez, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles with Karnibad prevailing over Omar Loufty, 6-3, 6-2, at No. 4 singles.  The Mount's Nick Huynh earned the Mount's final point with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.

The Mountaineers earned the No. 6 seed at the Northeast Conference Championships.  The Mount will face No. 3 seed Fairleigh Dickinson in the quarterfinals at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.
