Emmitsburg, Md. (March 20, 2022)—Mount St. Mary's cruised to a 4-0 win over visiting Saint Francis U in a Northeast Conference matchup at the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts on a windy Sunday afternoon.

The Mount (3-5, 1-3 NEC) took two of three doubles matches to take the doubles point to open play.  Russell Armstrong and Christos Dagklis teamed up for a 6-4 win over Sebastian Pinos and Andrew Teixeira at No. 2 doubles while Jarrett Karnibad and Filippos Zacchiotis earned a 6-4 win over Zachary Palko and Daniel Vinces at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Zachiotis earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Fuste at No. 3 singles with Abriola winning by the same scores over Teixeira at No. 4 singles.  Marcel Cronin clinched the win with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win at No. 6 singles over Christian Benti to clinch the match.  The matches at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles went unfinished as today's match was played to clinch.

The Mount is next in action with a home match against Wagner on Saturday, March 26.
