Cumberland, R.I. (February 27, 2022)—Mount St. Mary's dropped its second consecutive Northeast Conference match, a 6-1 loss at Bryant on Sunday. The Mountaineers fall to 2-4 overall and 0-2 in NEC play.
Bryant took two of three matches to earn a contested doubles point. The Mount's
Elliot Stevens and
Giovanni Abriola won at No. 1 doubles, 6-4, over Sepher Raissl and Leonardo Mileikowsky. Will Pellegrini and Marcus Macaulay downed
Christos Dagklis and
Russell Armstrong, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles and the third doubles match went to a tiebreaker with Bryant's Diego Trejo and Jean-Cristophe Baril edging Filippooos Zachiotis and
Jarrett Karnibad, 7-6
Zachiotis provided the Mount's point with a straight-set victory (7-5, 6-3) over Pellegrini at the No. 3 singles position.
The Mount returns to the court on Friday, March 18, with a home match against LIU.

Bryant won two of three doubles matches to edge the Mount for the doubles point.
Shirley Liang and
Adriana Barney teamed up for a 6-3 win over Sarah Hickey and Manuela Gomez Estrada at the No. 2 spot. In singles play,
Amber Policare had an impressive 6-3, 7-6 win over Ada Boru at the No. 1 singles position. Barney was edged in three sets by Caitlyn Munson, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 singles.
