COMPLETE RESULTS
New Britain, Ct. (September 25, 2021) – The Mount St. Mary's men's cross country team finishes in fifth place, while the women's cross country team finishes in eighth place at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut on Saturday morning.
Paul Fagnano finished 19th overall to lead the men's team while
Lesha Kay paced the women's team with a 19:55.8 time.
Fagnano completed the eight-kilometer course with a time of 27:25.9 for the Mountaineers, to finish in 19th overall in the field.
Kevin Zaleski followed Fagnano with a time 27:44.2 to finish in 29th while
Michael Chipi (33rd, 27:56.2),
Andrew Jackson (36th, 28:02.2), and
Colin Kelly (40th, 28:32.9) rounded out the top five runners for the men's team.
Kay paced the Mount with a 26th overall finish (19:55.8), while
Mary Campbell (28th, 20.03.8) and
Michelle Weaver (35th, 20:19.2) for the women's team.
Molly Connelly (42nd, 20.29.6) and
Ellie Dorian (51st, 21:21.8) rounded out the Mountaineers' top five runners on the five- kilometer course.
The Mount returns to action at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh on Friday, October 1st in Bethlehem, Pa., starting at 11:00 a.m.
