FINAL RESULTS
Springfield, Mass. (May 16, 2021)—Brian Sagendorf broke his own school record in the javelin to lead the Mount St. Mary's outdoor track and field teams at the IC4A/ECAC Championships this weekend.Â
Sagendorf uncorked a throw of 68.9m (223' 8") on his final attempt to break his own school record in the javelin on Friday. Sagendorf set the mark at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational earlier this season. Sagendorf finished in fourth place to earn All-East honors.
Todd Charles also earned All-East honors, finishing in fifth place in the 100m dash finals today with a time of 10.78 seconds. Charles advanced to the finals after posting a time of 10.75 seconds in the prelims yesterday. Charles also competed in the 200m dash today, finishing 11
th with a time of 22.14 seconds.
D.J. Hamilton posted a sixth-place finish in the triple jump today with a leap of 14.79m (48' 6.75") while teammate
Cyre Hooper was 14
th with a mark of 13.33m (43' 8.75").
Dominique Jeffery and
Rachel Finn also earned All-East honors at the meet. Jeffery finished eighth in the 400m dash (56.59) while Finn was eighth in the pole vault (3.76m, 12' 4"). On the men's side,
Carter Nave earned All-East in the pole vault after finishing 8
th with a mark of 4.75m (15' 8.75") while
Colin Kelly was eighth in the 800m (1:51.26) to also garner All-East accolades.
In the multi's,
Delaney McKnight finished sixth in the heptathlon with 4,256 points. She posted the best mark in the field in the long jump with a leap of 5.17m to highlight her competition.Â
Josh Cella was sixth in the decathlon (5,535 points) with
Isaiah Williamson finishing eighth (5,013 points).Â
