The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team is set to compete at the ITA Atlantic Regional hosted by Navy on October 14-17.

THE COMPETITION:  Teams represented at the ITA Region Championship include Coppin State, Delaware, Duquesne, George Mason, Georgetown, Howard, Loyola, Morgan State, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, Penn State, Saint Joseph's, Temple, VCU, Villanova, Virginia

THE DETAILS:  There will be both a championship and a consolation draw at the ITA Region Championship. Players advance out of the regional to the Super Regional (Oct. 22-25, Old Dominion) by reaching the quarterfinal round in singles or the semifinal round in doubles.

SITE:  The competition will be held at the Brigade Sports Complex outdoor courts, along with the Dahlgren Hall outdoor courts. The indoor courts at the BSC will be used on a limited basis, mostly for consolation matches.

MOUNT UPDATE:  The Mountaineers are back in action for the first time since participating in the Loyola Invitational on September 24-26.  At Loyola, the Mount St. Mary's tandem of Filippos Zachiotis and Jarrett Karnibad lost in the championship match.  Also for the Mountaineers, the pair of Elliot Stevens and Giovanni Abriola won the third-place match.

UP NEXT:  The Mountaineers close out the fall season by hosting the Mount St. Mary's Duals on October 29-31 on campus.
