MOUNT MEN UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team went into the Hilton Head Classic having yet to win a dual match in the 2020 spring season. This would soon change as the Mountaineers took down Newberry (4-2) and Holy Cross (5-2) to come home from Hilton Head, South Carolina riding a two-game win streak. The squad would finish the Hilton Head Classic 2-1. Jackson Wood went 2-0 at #1 singles and 2-0 at #1 doubles with Gabriel Santos to lead the Mountaineers. Alonso Garcia, Evan Hine, and Jean Armstrong all posted match victories at the classic to help the Mount secure two victories.
MOUNT WOMEN UPDATE
The Mount women's tennis team is still in search for their first dual match victory of the 2020 spring season as they head into Sunday's matchup with Radford. The Mountaineers only played one match during their spring break trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina due to rain cancelling their second match with Tiffin University. In the showdown with South Carolina State, the Bulldogs prevailed 6-1 over the Mountaineers. Alexa Quintanilla recorded the only single's victory, prevailing 6-4, 3-6, 10-5 over South Carolina State's #1 singles player. In the doubles action, Quintanilla and Hannah Davis were able to take down the Bulldogs top doubles duo 6-4.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
The Radford men's tennis team comes into Sunday's matinee with a 5-1 dual match record and riding a five-game win streak. After being dropped by UNC Wilmington, the Highlanders have rattled off wins over UVA Wise, UNC Greensboro, North Carolina A&T, Davidson, and Southern Virginia. Demi Taramonlis is the top player for Radford who holds an 8-4 record including a 5-0 mark at #1 singles. Taramonlis and his doubles partner Andres Silva have registered an 11-1 overall mark which includes an undefeated 4-0 at #1 doubles.
SCOUTING THE LADY HIGHLANDERS
The Radford women's tennis team currently sits at .500 overall with a 3-3 mark during the 2020 dual match spring season. The Lady Highlanders were riding a two-game win streak before being dropped by Gardner-Webb 6-to-1 their last time out. Anastasia Belyaeva has been the top player for Radford women's tennis posting an overall record of 9-6 and a 5-1 mark at #1 singles. Katey Fruehauf and Malin Falk have been a solid doubles team for Radford with an overall record of 8-5 and 3-2 mark at #2 doubles.

The Mount men's and women's teams will return to the Mount Tennis Courts next weekend to host St. Joseph's (Both), Rutgers-Newark (Men), and Delaware State (Women).
