MOUNT UPDATE
After defeating Campbell and Lafayette last week, the Mount women's lacrosse starts this week with a 5-1 overall record. In the win over Lafayette on Saturday, the Mountaineers used a 5-0 run in the second half to pull away from the Leopards. Jordan Butler (2g, 2a), Kate Kinsella (2g, 1a), Alayna Pagnotta (3g), Beanie Colson (2g, 1a), and Erin Anderson (2g, 2a) all tallied three-plus points to help the Mountaineers take down the Leopards. Colson led the squad with six draw controls and three caused turnovers while Jenna Oler earned the win in net with eight saves on the day. The Mount will look for the same results this week to earn to more wins over the Bison and Owls.
SCOUTING THE BISON
Howard women's lacrosse comes into Wednesday's matchup having dropped their first four games of the 2020 season by a combined 54 goals. Their losses have come at the hands of Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, Delaware State, and St. Francis (Pa.). Josie Mallory leads the Bison with nine points (8g, 1a) so far this season. Lailah Robey and Andrea Fievre have each had their shot in cage this year for the Bison combining for 32 saves and posting 23.72 goals against average.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Mount St. Mary's and Howard will meet for the first time since February of 2010 on Wednesday. The Mountaineers hold an 8-0 edge over the Bison in the all-time series between the two schools in women's lacrosse. In the last meeting a decade ago, the Mount took down Howard 21-1. The Mountaineers have won all eight matchups over the Bison by at least five-plus goals.

MAKING HISTORY
With the win on Saturday over Lafayette, Coach Lauren Skellchock became the Mount women's lacrosse all-time leader in coaching victories with 46 wins. She surpasses Courtney Martinez Connor who coached the Mountaineers from 2002-2005 for four seasons. Coach Skellchock currently holds a 46-45 all-time record including a 23-12 mark in Northeast Conference play.
NEC WEEKLY AWARDS
Jordan Butler and Beanie Colson were recognized by the Northeast Conference (NEC) with weekly honors following the Mountaineers two wins over Campbell and Lafayette last week. Butler was named NEC Player of the Week for the second time this season while Colson earned NEC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time.
