MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team has dropped their first two dual matches of the 2020 campaign at the hands of Navy and Duquesne. After battling Navy, the Mount had a strong performance at Duquesne. Although falling to Duquesne 6-1, four of those seven matches came down to a third set super-breaker. The squad will look to build off their performance in Harmar, Pennsylvania to come out of Happy Valley with a victory.
SCOUTING PENN STATE
The Nittany Lions come into this weekend's matchup off a win over Cleveland State 4-3 for their first victory of the spring season. Christos Antonopoulos and Christian Lakoseljac have been the prime performers at #1 doubles for Penn State as they are currently 3-0 during the first three matches of the 2020 campaign. On the singles side, Charl Morgan has been the Nittany Lions most consistent player with a 2-1 dual match record at #2 singles. Penn State men's tennis currently sits at 1-2 through three matches in 2020 with the losses coming to Kentucky and East Tennessee State.
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the first ever matchup between the Mountaineers and Nittany Lions in men's tennis.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The Mount men's tennis team will open up Northeast Conference play next weekend at St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday, February 16th.
