MOUNT UPDATE
After taking down UMBC 20-8 last Wednesday, the Mount women's lacrosse team followed up that win with their first road victory of the 2020 campaign. Erin Anderson's first goal of the season was the difference as the Mountaineers topped Binghamton 9-8 in overtime to move to 3-0. Jordan Butler (2g, 2a), Kate Kinsella (2g, 1a), and Alayna Pagnotta (2g) each finished with multiple goals to lead the Mountaineers. Jenna Oler made 11 saves in net to secure the victory.
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
After opening the season with a 19-6 loss to #1-ranked Maryland, George Mason has bounced back with two straight wins over William & Mary (20-11) and Delaware (11-8) to put them at 2-1 in 2020. Sophomore Deanna Balsama leads the Patriot offense with 13 points (8g, 5a) while Abby Folker and Erin Donoghue have each registered seven goals on the year. Senior keeper Melissa Semkiw has made 38 saves in three starts and posted 12.67 goals against average. As a team, the Patriots are 48-81 (59.2%) on draw controls with Balsama (23) and Folker (14) leading the squad.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Mountaineers are currently 0-3 all-time against the Patriots of George Mason in a series that started in March of 2014. George Mason has defeated the Mount by five-plus goals in each of the three contests. The last time these two teams met was back in March of 2016 where the Patriots dropped the Mountaineers 15-4. The Mount women's lacrosse team will look for their first-ever win over George Mason on Wednesday afternoon.

NEC WEEKLY AWARDS
Jordan Butler and Jenna Oler were recognized by the Northeast Conference (NEC) with weekly honors following Mount St. Mary's two wins over UMBC and Binghamton last week. Butler, who was named the NEC Player of the Week, and Oler, the Defensive Player of the Week, each earned the honors for the first time this season.
