MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team comes into this weekend's matchups at 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the Northeast Conference after falling to St. Francis Brooklyn last Sunday. The Terriers took down the Mountaineers 4-3 in the NEC-opener for both teams. Jackson Wood (6-2, 7-6) was able to take the number one singles point while Jean Armstrong (6-5, def.) and Russell Armstrong (0-6, 5-1, def.) gained a point for the Mount at #5 and #6 singles. St. Francis Brooklyn would break the 3-3 tie by winning 2-out-of-3 of the doubles matches to secure the victory. Wood and his partner Gabriel Santos took the lone Mountaineer doubles match 6-4.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Merrimack comes into Saturday's showdown with the Mountaineers having lost their first two dual matches of the spring season to Boston University and Boston College. The Warriors fell to Boston U 5-2 and 6-1 to the Eagles of Boston College.
SCOUTING THE DEVILS
University of Sciences has dropped their past two dual matches to put them at 0-2 a month into the spring season. The Devils were dropped by La Salle and The College of New Jersey 6-1 in both matches. Oscar Serra leads the team with a 2-1 record at number one singles while Borna Markusic and Serra have registered a 6-2 doubles record together during the 2019-2020 campaign.
PRESEASON POLLS
In the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the Mount was picked to finish fourth announced by the league on February 6th. Six-time defending NEC champion Bryant was selected as the preseason favorites for their journey towards a seventh consecutive crown. For more information on this year's preseason polls, click here.
INSIDE THE MATCHUPS
This will be the first time the Mount men's tennis team will face the University of Sciences and Merrimack. The Warriors are a newly added conference foe in the NEC as they moved from Division II to Division I this past year.

The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team will next play at Longwood on March 1st at 9:00 a.m. right before they head to Hilton Head, South Carolina for spring break
