September 24, 2019—Mount St. Mary's women's tennis senior Alexa Quintanilla is set to compete at the 2019 Oracle ITA Masters which will be held September 26-29 at the Malibu Racquet Club and Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.
ABOUT THE ORACLE ITA MASTERS
- After its inaugural event in 2015, the Oracle ITA Masters expanded the men's and women's singles draws in 2016 to feature 32-players per gender. Invitations are sent based on conference affiliation, with each conference having the opportunity to send its top returning player.
- Since its expansion in 2016, the Oracle ITA Masters has also become the only collegiate tennis event to feature mixed doubles, with conference representatives partnering and at-large/wild card participants pairing with each other or with conference representatives without a counterpart.
- The men's and women's singles champions earn automatic entry into the 2019 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which will be held November 6-10 in Newport Beach, California.
ABOUT ALEXA QUINTANILLA
- Quintanilla has been named First Team All-Northeast Conference in singles in each of the past two seasons after earning All-Rookie team honors as a freshman. She also was named All-NEC in doubles with playing partner Hannah Davis.
- She had the third-best winning percentage in NEC play (.588) at the No.1 singles position in 2018-19.
